What I’ve learnt to write on the MEDIUM platform/publisher?????

Medium has been brought to my attention over 6 months ago and I didn’t know what it was at first but after writing about it and hearing about it from influencers who have highly spoke about the platform. I guess people who are reading this would like to know from someone who has just recently signed up on the Medium platform and what I’ve learnt about Medium.

What is Medium?
Medium is a platform and publisher where you can write from anything to have a niche or passionate platform which you want people to share and also learn from. There is 2 ways you can look at this and they are:

a) Its a platform
b) Also a publisher

Overall everybody does compare this platform similar to Wordpress (where its mainly used for blogging) or Squarespace (this is a website with the opportunity to set up as a business, or personal website that has different types of recipes, blogging post, other products that are wanting to promote and sell.

What should I write?

You can write about anything but keep in mind that its all about writing and doing a little research, so the content you present to your audience and your personal touch with the materials you have presented.

In other words you need to write about:
a) write what you are passion about?
b) something you want to share
c) having a NICHE?
d) receiving feedback from your audience.

Also another thing you need to consider when starting with MEDIUM is “HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU WRITE?”

The answer to that is daily and with quality over quantity. After reading that sometimes, I realised that I need to pick up my game in writing articles and research on what topic to write next.

Plan your posts — This can be your first, second, third, etc.

When planning a post you would need to pick a topic and decide what you are going format the article (for example: plan for it).

So what that entitles is:
a) post involves writing the title
b) Start the story with the introduction, body and conclusion
c) Attracting your audience/readers
d) Add a feature photo. That can be with the title or in the middle of the article.

In reviewing all this information, and as a new starter to MEDIUM. Its a great way to get clarity in writing and researching what I would like to share and teach my audience or readers. Overall I can say that the platform is not scary, nor overwhelming in presenting an article.
